My name is Kees. I am a composer and studio musician, based in Amsterdam.
Music has been a vital part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a diet of classical and jazz music. As a teenager, I gravitated towards hip hop, funk and soul and in recent years some electronic music joined the ranks. You’ll hopefully find a bit of everything listening to my music.
Ever since I was little, I have been playing various instruments and a couple of years ago I started my own studio. Combining a wide range of instruments, acoustic and electric, but also synths and computers, I aim to create music that tells a story. I always look for a unique and personal sound, heartfelt and rich in atmosphere.
Over the years I have composed and produced numerous projects for film and documentary, for commercials, but also for singers and songwriters, and perhaps most importantly, for fun. If you feel like you could use my music for your project, need a jingle or a custom composition, shoot me a message!
